Rotary Club of Rourkela Royal is a part of Rotary International which is a.Global NGO.made up of people who share a passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the globe.

Since 2011, Our club has been continuously undertaking projects and activities for the benefit of the under-privileged section of the society.

SOME OF OUR ONGOING & PERMANENT PROJECTS

• EDUCATION:.Construction of Toilets Blocks and Class Rooms and other infrastructure at Chhend Public School and Vidyut School, Balughat. Both schools have little government support and cater to the most underprivileged students of the respective localities

  

  

• HYGENE & SANITATION: Construction of Toilets Blocks and Installation of Handwashing Station at schools in remote villages under ‘Ramjodi Panchayat’ which has been adopted by us. There are many more projects in pipeline for the RCC project.

  

• FEMALE HYGENE: Installation of Sanitary Napkin incinerators at all womens hostels in and around the city. Pilot already done at 4 hostels we good user response.

  

• COVERED SHED AT BURNING GHAT: The wood at the local cremation ghat is kept in open and the forest department has no provision to make a shed causing immense hardship during rainy season. We are making a big 5000 sq feet shed to protect the wood from getting wet so that there will be no problem in cremation of deceased persons.

  

• EDUCATION: We have adopted 2 underprivileged schools who get little or no government funding but cater to the poorer section of the society and are working on uplifting the infrastructure and education quality of these institutions.

  

  

• MEDICAL: Installation of Mira Cradle (a Neonate Cooler) at Aastha Mother & Childcare Hospital. A one of a kind life-saving equipment for children born with a breathing problem.

  

• OTHERS: Tree Plantation, Blood Donation Camps, Medical Camps, Promoting tribal arts and sports etc.
